My love of delicious food and good company gives my love of photography a run for its money!
In the middle of the engagement shoot with Ed and Meredith we took a little lunch time break to escape the terrible midday light and of course to relieve our hunger. Ed insisted on treating us out to Parson's Chicken & Fish. Emiliz and I had never been there before but how can you say no to fried chicken? We also went there hoping to grab a few photographs in the outdoor area but unfortunately it was closed for the season. The indoor area is relatively small but we were lucky to snag one of the last few seats. The place is set up so that everyone is sharing large picnic tables so if you like to be super private it is probably not the best place to go because you could end up sitting next to a stranger, but personally I think it adds to the feel of the restaurant and it doesn't bother me at all. We started off the meal with a few extremely delicious cocktails and then shared several different plates. I have to say that everything we ate was great! We shared two different salads, hush puppies, fried chicken, fried fish and ended the meal with a funnel cake. I honestly don't have anything bad to say about the food except that the funnel cake was a bit too sweet for my tastes, but it was still delicious.
I know this is a bit off the path of photography but I cannot help wanting to share great experiences. There is nothing like sharing an excellent meal in the company of some amazing people. This was an added bonus to an already great day of photography!
